Is Maradhoo Feydhoo a Union Territory?

A Union Territory is a type of administrative division in the Republic of India. Unlike states, which have their own elected governments, union territories are ruled directly by the union government, hence the name 'union territory'.

Maradhoo Feydhoo was a separate administrative entity considered as an island before the proliferation of Addu City. With the arrival of Addu City, electoral zones were considered as wards. Since Maradhoo Feydhoo was not a separate electoral zone, Maradhoo and Maradhoo Feydhoo was combined and considered as one ward.

Maradhoo Feydhoo people were not happy with this arrangement of Addu City Council.
On behalf of Maradhoo Feydhoo people, a guy came forward and filed a case at Maradhoo Feydhoo Magistrate Court. He wanted the Magistrate Court to decide that Maradhoo Feydhoo is an administrative entity considered as a separate island.

After few hearings, the case was concluded in favour of the guy and Maradhoo Feydhoo people. The conclusion says that Maradhoo Feydhoo is a separate administrative island of Maldives. Further, it says Maradhoo Feydhoo deserves all jurisdiction of an island of Maldives.

Both the government and local government are aware of the decision but they neither considered Maradhoo Feydhoo as a separate island nor it is given what it legally deserves.

As per the Magistrate Court, Maradhoo Feydhoo is not a part of Addu City even though the former Addu Atoll does not prevail anymore.

Now comes the question where is Maradhoo Feydhoo then? Is it a union territory like Andaman and Minicoy?
